On behalf of the SCBO Chair, John McElwaine, please find attached the final version of the comments to be filed on behalf of the GNSO Council regarding the FY22 Operating Plan and budget. This final version changed only slightly from the version sent 8 Feb 2021:
- On page 2, the last bullet of the first section on General Comments; this may be of interest because the SCBO is contemplating on how to increase engagement earlier in the cycle
- On page 5, the original Budget Issue #3 was deleted and thus forced the renumbering of the remaining budget issues.
As noted below, these comments will be filed next Monday, 15 February in the absence of objection from members on the Council.
Please advise if you have any questions or require clarifications to each of the issues identified in the comment submission.

Dear all,
Please find attached a draft of the GNSO Council’s comments regarding the Draft FY22-26 Operating & Financial Plan and Draft FY22 Operating Plan & Budget. This draft is still work in progress, but we wanted to share the latest version by the Motions and Documents deadline. The SCBO is scheduled to meet next on 10 Feb 2021 to finalize the draft and deliver the final version back to the Council on 11 Feb 2021. Comment submissions are due 15 Feb 2021.
As with prior years, the planning schedule does not allow the Council to consider a final version by the public comment due date and February’s scheduled Council meeting. Thus, the comments will be submitted by the deadline based on absence of objection by the Council.
Please advise if you have questions over the mailing list, as this will not be a topic on the Council’s agenda next week.
