NEW: Draft Proposal for Phased Return to Face-to-Face Meetings

During the ICANN68 plenary session on “Advancing Policy Work in the Current Environment,” the community heard from the Supporting Organization and Advisory Committee
(SO/AC) chairs on how they plan to prioritize their respective community's work for the foreseeable future and learned more about the Draft Proposal for Phased Return to Face-to-Face Meetings. Just issued for community feedback, the proposal was prepared by
ICANN org based on initial suggestions from the SO/AC chairs. It proposes a strategy that emphasizes partnership and collaboration between the ICANN community and ICANN org in order to ensure a measured and safe return to large-scale physical meetings and
is intended as a basis for further conversations with the ICANN community. ICANN org will continue to provide up-to-date assessment reports for each potential meeting location for community review and update the framework as needed.
ICANN org welcomes the comments that were made by many community members during the plenary session and hopes that the community will continue to provide its views
to the various SO/AC leaders, who will be meeting again with ICANN org after ICANN68 as part of their regular cadence of intersessional calls.

The co-chairs of the Cross-Community Working Group (CCWG) on New gTLD Auction Proceeds will be hosting a 60-minute informational webinar for its chartering organizations
about its Final
Report [r20.rs6.net] on
Tuesday, 7 July 2020 at 12:00 UTC. All Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees are chartering organizations of the CCWG.
The primary purpose of this webinar is to provide information to the chartering organizations about CCWG recommendations and
Final Report, as well as answer questions that they may have as they consider CCWG outputs. However,
anyone who is interested in this topic is welcome to attend, even if they are not affiliated with the chartering organizations. Additional information can be found
