I agree it's up to the community to flesh out the issues and options.

But as long as it affects negatively the implementation schedule for new gTLDs I wouldn't do so.

Ok, but I would not assume ex ante that slowing things down is the necessary outcome of a bit of dialogue on overlooked community concerns, or let that spectre preclude processes that could broaden international support for ICANN's work.
