Dear all,
We have sent this message to our SG/Cs regarding the Review of Reviews CGC:
We have set out a brief progress update on the Review of Reviews Cross Community Group (RoR CCG) below. Please feel free to share with your groups.
- The RoR has had three working meetings so far. The group is being co-chaired by Avri Doria, Chris Disspain and Manal Ismail.
- ICANN Org has prepared a report on Specific Reviews and is working on a report on Organisational Reviews https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDOR/pages/376406065/Background+Materials.
- We have been working on a draft Statement of Purpose for reviews. That is, what is the purpose of the Reviews Program.
- Ahead of ICANN84 Dublin, the Prep Week session is intended to provide an overview of what the CCG is and our workplan.
- The first plenary session in Dublin on Monday is going to be focused on engagement on a Draft Statement of Purpose. The current plan is to utilise breakout groups in this session.
- The second plenary session in Dublin is going to be geared at synthesizing the input from the first plenary session and building on that input. The hope is that the community will be able to use some of their time on Constituency Day to progress the discussions started on Monday.
With this in mind, we would encourage SG/Cs to include time on their agendas for ICANN84 to discuss the future of reviews. You are welcome to invite us to your meetings to answer questions about the work of the RoR, and depending on scheduling, one or both of us will attend.
Kind regards,
Sophie and Osvaldo
