Hi Prudence,

Thank you so much for volunteering!

As it was made “official” through the Council Webinar yesterday, we will assume you will be the Council Liaison to the Latin Script Diacritics (LSD) PDP WG unless another volunteer comes forward by next Tuesday, 25 February, as opposed to the original deadline (05 March).

Once confirmed on/after 25 February, our Secretariat will reach out for finalization.

Much appreciated,

Saewon

Dear Councilors,

Per the Latin Script Diacritics PDP WG Charter [gnso.icann.org] that was adopted on 19 December 2024, the GNSO Council intends to appoint one Liaison to the WG who is accountable to the Council and seeks a Councilor to serve in this role. The Council member should be able to serve the life of this WG; the first meeting will be held during ICANN82 on Saturday, 08 March 2025.

As a reminder, the objective of this PDP WG is to determine the limited circumstances in which a base ASCII gTLD and the Latin script diacritic version of the gTLD can be simultaneously delegated.

More details regarding the scope of work and the GNSO Council Liaison’s role can be found in the Charter [gnso.icann.org].

For those interested, please respond to this list by Wednesday, 05 March 2025.

Best Regards,

Greg DiBiase
