FYI—now we are talking about a truly serious endowment fund…
Jothan Frakes just posted on Facebook that the .Web last resort auction has concluded and that the gTLD sold for $135 million. The identity of the winning purchaser was not included.
If the report is correct, that means that the auction fund has just more than doubled to almost a quarter of a billion dollars, with its use yet to be determined by the ICANN community.
