The ICANN org Policy Research and Stakeholder Programs (PRSP) team Is available to your group to engage on the status of several initiatives underway, including:

 

*Pilot Holistic Review

*Progress of the work led by the community to evolve Organizational Reviews into a Continuous Improvement Program

*Planning for the Fourth Accountability and Transparency Review

*Rights Protection Mechanisms (RPM) policy implementation

*Privacy and Proxy Services Accreditation Issues (PPSAI) policy implementation

*IDN EPDP Phase 1 policy implementation

 

The PRSP team’s remit includes the management of ICANN’s Specific Reviews and Organizational Reviews, and implementation of Review outcomes and policy recommendations coming the multi-stakeholder policy development process.

NEW: ICANN Community Wiki Migration

 

Next week, ICANN will migrate the ICANN Community Wiki [danh45uab.cc.rs6.net] to a cloud-based service. This will enhance its stability and reliability. You will also notice an improved user experience. These changes will not affect content or collaboration, and we do not anticipate any disruptions to important ICANN community work because the data migration will happen during the weekend. This is an exciting development to better support the ICANN community.

 

 

NEW: Update on Call for Expressions of Interest: 2025 ICANN Nominating Committee Standing Committee Members

 

The reopening of the Expressions of Interest period aims to provide an opportunity for additional candidates to apply, allowing for a more comprehensive evaluation and selection process.

 

Expressions of Interest, which will be kept confidential, should be sent to NomComStandingCommitteeEOI@icann.org [danh45uab.cc.rs6.net] no later than 14 March 2025.

The 12 NextGen@ICANN participants attend universities in the European region, where they study engineering, political science, technology, and other relevant subjects.

ICANN meetings are a venue for the ICANN community, org, and Board to come together to learn, discuss, and advance our work. In particular, the upcoming Community Forum lasts six days and consists of more than 200 sessions.

ICANN Opens New gTLD Registry Service Provider Evaluation Program

 

ICANN has opened the Registry Service Provider (RSP) Evaluation Program for the New Generic TopLevel Domains (gTLD) Program: Next Round. The RSP Evaluation Program was created to streamline the evaluation of gTLD applications by separating the evaluation of the technical aspects of operating the gTLD from the application for the name.

Next Round Champions Toolkit Available in the Six ICANN Languages 

 

ICANN is working with the community to identify potential Applicant Support Program (ASP) applicants – especially in regions that are currently under-represented in ICANN. Call for ASP Mentors

 

ICANN is seeking volunteer mentors who would like to offer their expertise to supported applicants as part of the ASP in the new gTLD Program: Next Round [danh45uab.cc.rs6.net]. ICANN is looking for mentors who can share insights and experience across ICANN Languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish) to support diverse gTLD applicants.

 

Mentors may play a role in: advising applicants on navigating the gTLD application process and DNS industry; identifying resources; providing guidance; sharing experiences as appropriate; and helping supported applicants navigate the ICANN community and Public Meetings. If you or someone in your network might be interested, please refer to the mentor registration announcement [danh45uab.cc.rs6.net] for more information.
