As a required step, ICANN General Counsel evaluates whether an issue is appropriately within scope to be addressed by an EPDP. After reviewing the EPDP initiation request, the General Counsel had a couple of non-substantive edits to section (e) of the initiation request, to state that the text contained in the form is affirmatively ICANN General Counsel’s opinion, not merely the result of the policy staff consulting with ICANN legal.
