Thanks very much for circulating this correspondence. I can also confirm that it was discussed in the CWG meeting earlier this week, and while concerns were raised about the simple fact of two parallel (if not overlapping) efforts that might arrive at different definitions of "geographic name" and different policy treatment across those different definitions, there was general agreement that the letter is a good thing in terms of evidence that this issue is one of broader awareness within the GAC, including the Chair.
