The Absence Notification form is a formality aimed at voting councilors, to ensure that despite their absence, their vote is taken into account by the means of a proxy or temporary alternate assignment.

 

Regarding non-voting Council members, such a yourself, as Non-Voting NomCom Appointee,  there is no need to fill out the form. In case of an absence, you would simply need to email your apologies to gnso-secs@icann.org. Should you wish to express your views on a certain agenda item (or several!) you may write to the Council mailing list, or the GNSO Council Leadership team, to ensure they are communicated during the GNSO Council meeting.

  1. Please review the GNSO Council meeting Cheat Sheet  in order to help you prepare for the session and also provide your input in suggestion mode.

 

  1. All documents mentioned on the Council agenda are listed on the Document wiki page for easy referral. If there are any topics you would like to see appear on future Council agendas, please do not hesitate to add them to the Council Topics Google doc.  

 

  1. ⚠️ As AOB we have a GNSO Council Zoom photo, so please come prepared to switch on your cameras at the end of the session. The photo will then be added at the top of the About GNSO webpage [gnso.icann.org]. Please let gnso-secs@icann.org know if you prefer to be left out of the photo. ⚠️

 

  1. Please consult the Project Management Portfolio, in particular the Action Decision Radar and the Project List which have been updated for this month’s Council meeting.

 

  1. If you fear you may run into connectivity issues or may not make it on the call, please have an officer of your SG/C fill in the Council Absence Notification form.
