And as a follow up to the Whois Studies-related question on their relevance and usefulness to the EWG, you’ll be pleased to note that the Whois Studies as well as other reports emanating from the GNSO (including the earlier Whois Task Forces, the Internationalized Registration Data WG, the Whois Requirements Survey, and more recently the Thick Whois WG) were cited by the EWG in Annex B to their Final Report. As you’ll recall at the last Council meeting, staff reported that the EWG had referred to the Studies - and occasionally the research teams behind those Studies – to inform their early work on understanding stakeholder concerns and user needs as regards Whois accuracy, access and privacy.
