Has the option arisen to reapportion time from the reply period to the original comment period? I'm not aware of much use for reply comments, so it seems silly to give that period the same duration, unless we just de facto make it an opportunity to submit new issues. I'm not speaking from an NCSG position of concern, just curiosity.

Hi,

I wanted to discuss  the difficulty the ccNSO is having with the revised comment period timelines - the current 21 day minimum comment period (followed by the reply comment period) means that we do not have sufficient time to formulate formal ccNSO comments to consultations. 

Olivier advised that the ALAC share this concern and have already raised it with ICANN staff, but as an AC they are able to comment outside of the comment period.

I was wondering if other SO/AC Chairs are also having difficulties.
