Dear Councilors, I am writing to follow up on the question that was raised in the context of your upcoming meeting with the ccNSO Council, about whether there is a deadline for finalizing the composition of the IANA Functions Review Team (IFRT). Under Section 18 of the ICANN Bylaws, the first Periodic IFR was estimated to have a commencement date of October 2018: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/governance/bylaws-en/#article18. It will therefore be very useful to be able to finalize any remaining questions over the IFRT as soon as possible, in order to proceed with the first review.
