PEDNR Final Report
Dear All, On behalf of the Post-Expiration Domain Name Recovery (PEDNR) Working Group, please find attached the PEDNR PDP Final Report for your consideration. For your information, the Working Group is scheduled to provide you with an overview of the report and its recommendations on Saturday 18 June from 14.00 – 14.45 (local time) at the ICANN meeting in Singapore. With best regards, Marika
Thanks Marika. Tim is the Council liaison for this group, but in the interest of making our motion deadlines, I would like to make the attached motion. If Tim is not already traveling and can get on line later on today, he may wish to make the motion himself, in which case I will defer to him. Stéphane, I would suggest that we not rush this through. Although I had seen and agreed to the draft motion yesterday, I now realize that there are some problems with it. Since The GNSO Council cannot take any formal action on this report at this meeting (we did not meet the publication deadline for such action), the motion was only being presented as a heads up and a chance for informal discussion. A suggestion was made on the PEDNR list to consider the motion carefully, and as Chair (well, Acting Chair since it was never made official), I think that would be wise. We have spent too much time on this PDP to rush on the last part. Alan At 14/06/2011 08:38 AM, Stéphane Van Gelder wrote:

I will defer to your judgment on this of course. Let me know if you want me to send a message to the Council explaining the situation, or if it would perhaps be better to leave the motion on the agenda, for discussion purposes only? Stéphane Le 14 juin 2011 à 17:38, Alan Greenberg a écrit :

Councillors, Tim (GNSO Liaison) and Alan (Group Chair) and I have been discussing this at length since yesterday. Both feel there should be a little more discussion before we are ready to make a motion. I obviously defer to their wisdom on the work being done and therefore withdraw this motion at this time.
