I have a general travel question. Given that I expect us to go over our allotted time by at least two hours on Saturday, is it prudent for me to book a flight out of IAD knowing that as an international traveller I have to be at the checkin counter no later than 7:30pm? In other words, will traffic on Saturday evening permit a trip of two hours between DC and Dulles? (I'm guessing it can be, but never having actually made the trip before, I'm hesitant to book without knowing how much of a squeeze I'm putting myself in.). Thanks to everyone that responded offlist to my dumb question :) By booking a package through Expedia, I was able to get a three night stay at the Marriot on 22nd, including my flight, for $950 CAD - a $620 discount, and almost $200 cheaper than the same stay at the M Street. The three hotels are literally within 5 min; 7 min, and 10 min walk of the office where the meeting room is, so if you can get Ross to escort you, sounds like a good deal! :0)))))) I often book through Travelocity, and find that for my international flights to Geneva, for instance, I get round trip/3 nights, for under $1500, same trip booked separately will be closer to $3K.
