The motion proposes initiating two separate PDPs. It further recommends that the Council adopt the draft charter for the Associated Domain Check PDP and convene that effort as soon as practical. At the same time, the motion provides the Council and broader community with additional time to carefully review, consider, and, if needed, further develop the second draft charter on API access. This responds directly to the input received to prioritize the Associated Domain Check PDP, while also providing a clear commitment from the Council to pursue that second PDP on API access at the appropriate time. Doing so allows the first PDP to begin ASAP, while the second PDP can proceed on an appropriate timeline based on readiness and consensus. This approach offers a balanced and efficient way to address the scope of the priority issues highlighted in the Final Issue Report.
