Thanks, Caitlin, for this reminder. Dear Councilors, This reminder reminded me (pun intended) of a short conversation between Anne Aikman-Scalese, Paul McGrady and I last year (see attached printout) about the possibility of introducing the element of global public interest considerations during the drafting of a PDP charter, as limited or informed by this GPI Framework/Checklist. The rationale being since the Board would rely on this GPI Framework/Checklist during their consideration of GNSO policy recommendations, it makes sense for any PDP WG to also consider the implications of the recommendations it is developing, insofar as how the GPI considerations are undertaken by the Board. By inviting a PDP Charter drafting team to consider the GPI Framework/Checklist when crafting a charter - rather than it being incidental - I imagine Council would be contributing to its desire for Board-ready GNSO recommendations. I would appreciate further thoughts on this. Thanks. Kind regards, Justine On Thu, 28 Nov 2024 at 05:20, Caitlin Tubergen via council < council@icann.org> wrote:
