Dear Councilor, As an update on an action item taken at the October 21st Council call regarding the process of selecting GNSO member(s) for the IRP Standing Panel selection committee: as agreed during our call, GNSO Council leadership discussed the topic with the leaders in SGs/Cs and whether the SSC is the appropriate mechanism for this. SGs/Cs agreed to utilize the SSC, but recommended that additional supporting materials or GNSO-specific guidance be developed to help guide the SSC in its selection process. The development of this material is in progress in a small group from both leaderships, and the SSC will be provided this prior to undertaking that task (the EoI ended on December 4th).
