Dear Council Colleagues, We received in the last hour the attached two document which ICANN Staff will send and publish on 5 April to call the IRT on SubPro. They are inviting GNSO comments before 20 UTC on Tuesday 4 April. Given the tight deadline I propose we task the SubPro Small Team to provide that feedback. They have the background and are already scheduled to meet on Monday, before the deadline. Note that ICANN intends to publish a blog on the same date to explain the content to the wider community. May I use this opportunity to encourage the members of the SubPro small team who have not yet been able to attend or are not yet on the mailing list to reach out. Hi all - if we call this out, then we need to be careful about arguments previously made that CPH has resisted providing information on organizations (as opposed to individuals). Someone is likely to point out that most of the clients are organizations, not individuals, and that we have always insisted the organizations be disclosed under GDPR. Thanks Sebastien. I note the letter states as follows: "There will be no distinction between participants and representatives regarding the ability to perform these tasks. In addition, note that no voting or consensus calls take place within an IRT." I have volunteered as Council Liaison to the Sub Pro IRT based on my past Sub Pro involvement and available time since my retirement. I think we would want to make sure of two things: (1) Input from representatives should be timely and should not delay implementation work. Could this be added to the call for representatives? (2) Nothing about the representative model affects the ability of any member of GNSO Council to raise an issue at the Council level if the Council member believes in earnest that an adopted policy is involved. (This is already in the Operating Procedures.)
