Dear all, Following on Yoav¹s and Edmon¹s comments, and based on a request from GNSO community members at the London meeting between the GNSO and the Board IDN Variant Working Group, ICANN will be looking at reviewing the current IDN Implementation Guidelines shortly., for which (as Sarmad mentioned) the GNSO and ccNSO will be asked to provide feedback on this effort after this Los Angeles meeting. Here is the current version of the Guidelines, which were prepared by a Working Group comprised of ccNSO and GNSO community members with IDN experience, supported by ICANN staff. They were last revised in September 2011: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/implementation-guidelines-2012-02-25-e n. As Yoav noted, this may be an important issue at the second level for IDNs.
