I’ve shared the draft with the Excom of the Contracted Parties House who are comfortable with the Council submitting the comments as drafted with one exception. We respectfully request that the comments relating to the Reserve Fund "The GNSO Council understands that Reserve Fund replenishment is a current area of focus for the ICANN organization. We would like to see a plan developed as a matter of priority which reviews all options for replenishing the fund in a sustainable way" be removed from the document on the grounds that the replenishment of the Reserve Fund is: 1. not directly related to the role or remit of the GNSO Council as primary initiator and manager of GNSO Policy Development; 2. not a point that is specifically related to the current Draft FY19 budget; and 3. now (since the work on the FY19 Budget was commenced) the subject of a specific and detailed public comment<https://www.icann.org/public-comments/reserve-fund-replenishment-2018-03-06-...> period of its own.
