I'm sending the note below on behalf of Steve Crocker. If you recall, Steve sought your input in Dakar and appreciated the various points he received. He'd like to repeat the process for San Jose. [I've suppressed the explicit addresses to avoid burdening all of with the responses you might send]

From Steve - SO and AC chairs, ICANN Board, Rod Beckstrom, Akram Atallah, John Jeffrey and David Olive:

In San Jose I will be making the two usual speeches to the community, one during the opening ceremony on Monday and another during the gala on Wednesday evening. The opening ceremony speech is a chance to get across key messages, so I am soliciting your suggestions. For example, in the past when I was SSAC chair, we requested Rod include a mention of the DNSSEC beginner's session, which he was kind enough to do.

It will be helpful to have your inputs ASAP. And, of course, I can't guarantee to include anything until I see how this shapes up. Jason Keenan is working with Diane and me on the speech.

David, as you can see, I'm sending this to SO and AC chairs. If you wish, feel free to pass this along to your folks who support the SOs and ACs.
