Dear Councilors, The co-chairs of the CCWG on Internet Governance are scheduled to meet with the GNSO Council during the Council’s Public Meeting at ICANN58 on Wednesday 15 March. As you know, the GNSO Council had requested that the CCWG-IG review its Charter with a view to reporting on a possible updated Charter and/or a possible alternative structure by ICANN58. Please therefore find attached some documents from the CCWG-IG that can hopefully assist with that discussion. They are two comparison charts, one of a draft revised Charter against the original CCWG-IG charter and the other of a draft revised Charter against the template developed through the recent Uniform Framework of Principles for Future CCWGs; as well as a report on the activities of the CCWG-IG during 2016.
