The Economist is reporting that ICANN will not have the JPA renewed. A 4 page letter has been signed (affirmation of commitments). There is some international oversight committee going in place, with four panels and the US will have reps on only one.

ICANN has said nothing about this and there is no word yet on who in the US government sign the letter.
