Re: [Ext] Please finalize SPIRT slides for Council and return link
Saewon, Many thanks. This looks good. Please confirm that you will be in charge of sharing and advancing the slides in the Council meeting. I am stuck in Dallas due to a delayed American flight which caused me to miss my connection. FCM is trying to rebook me. If successful, i would not arrive until Monday afternoon. Hi Anne,
I hope you have arrived safely in KGL. Sorry for my late response – I was en route and had limited access to my computer.
Thank you for your kind input, and now I have accepted all the sidebar comments based on your feedback/updates. Please find the *updated version of the slide* *deck* in the following link: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1GHtO2E97TDV_9Gz0pBxz33dtV2Ezjd6Rq_Z8...
*As for p.21,* based on your suggestion, I have tried to recreate it in a way where it includes p.16 of the SubPro Report, but also presenting, in parallel to the Council relevant language in the current charter (“Scope” section in p.4), which also identifies SPIRT’s role/remit. I am hoping this update reminds the Council on the important point mentioned in p.16, while also presenting the guardrail that this Team has set within the proposed charter. The language within the charter is as follows: *“The SPIRT is reminded that it is not within its scope to develop new policy nor serve as a substitute for or replacement of the mechanisms set forth in the ICANN Bylaws to develop policy or provide advice to the ICANN Board.”*
Tomorrow (Sat, 8 June), I will again be en route, taking my final flight to KGL, and I won’t be able to revise anything till evening after I land. Please leave within the slide (sidebar comment) or via email if the changes are ok and/or need changes, and I will get back to you as soon as convenient.
*Planning wise:* Once this slide deck is approved by you/leadership team, 1) I will be sending this to gnso-secs for it to be posted on wiki (GNSO Council Meeting Agenda/Document page) and 2) sharing it with the Team (in pdf format) for their reference (NOT for their comments and/or review – also will be posted on SPIRT Teams wiki page). 3) After, I will ask you to share the pdf version with the Council, again for their reference, in preparation for the Meeting on 12 June.
I hope this helps with the next steps.
Much appreciated for your kind cooperation,
Steve, Julie, and Saewon.

Saewon,
Please finalize the SPIRT slides including the sentence below on Slide 21 and send me the link without all the comments. I assume everything else will be unchanged from the last version.
* In the event of a conflict, existing GNSO processes and procedures, including the GNSO Input Process, GNSO Guidance Process, and EPDP as contained in the Annexes to the GNSO Operating Procedures take precedence.*
