Preliminary GNSO Response to ICANN82 Seattle GAC Communique' Issues of Importance
Dear all, On behalf of the GNSO Council Liaison to the GAC, and the Small Team of Councilors who have volunteered to prepare the response from the GNSO Council to the Board on the ICANN82 Seattle GAC Communique’ Issues of Importance (there was no Advice), please see the attached preliminary response. Please note that per the Small Team’s assignment the response table is a compilation of guidance the GNSO Council has already provided on these issues, or information from the Council’s Operating Procedures. As such, the Small Team does not believe there is anything controversial in this response and, absent any objections, the preliminary response will be sent to the Board today, in advance of the Board’s meeting with the GAC on Monday, 07 April. Please also note that the Council’s response to the GAC Communique’ is on the consent agenda at the Council meeting on 10 April. Once adopted at the April meeting, the Council’s final response to the GAC Issues of Importance will be sent to the Board. Kind regards, Julie
Re the summary reply on both Registration Data Accuracy and on DNS Abuse, I think we should update Response to the GAC on both to say that the small teams have been formed and that Assignment Forms are being addressed in the Council's April meeting. I believe this item is on the Consent agenda so the draft should be as up-to-date as possible.
