Whether using COVID-themed phishing schemes, knowing that people are hungry for information, or by brute force attacks on networks where they know the IT staff are thin or working remotely, and those who are at work are distracted by the demand of thousands of remote workers on the network, there is a spike in cybersecurity attacks worldwide. How can operators and regulators work together to defend networks and consumers while maintaining all-important services? Regulators and policy makers will discuss their decisions and initiatives taken in response to the pandemic against a backdrop of consumer protection and universal access to essential information and services.
