Hello All,

I just wanted to thank Jonathan for moderating yesterday’s call in his typical professional manner, especially given the deeply held and passionate views of some of the attendees.

In connection with some of the other work I do in the non-profit community, I received this email yesterday about a call about .ORG in which it appears that PIR and Ethos Capital representative will be participating.  Did ALAC extend an invitation to PIR and Ethos Capital in connection with yesterday’s call?

Perhaps those with more direct ties to the non-profit community may find this of benefit.

Best regards,

Michael

Hi Michael,

I want to make sure you know about a community call NTEN is hosting this Thursday, December 5, at noon Pacific. Joining us will be the Electronic Frontier Foundation, The National Council of Nonprofits, and Internet Society chapter leaders, as well as Jon Nevett from Public Interest Registry, and Erik Brooks and Nora Abusitta from Ethos Capital. Andrew Sullivan from Internet Society has been invited but has not confirmed participation.

Since November 22, when NTEN and 26 organizations launched a campaign to protest the sale, more than 12,000 concerned people have either sent the letter or signed their name in an endorsement. That's a lot of people, but this is an issue that affects all of us, not just those of us who are internet policy wonks. Please encourage your friends and colleagues to endorse the letter and invite them to Thursday's call.

The nonprofit sector is stronger when we stand together. Thank you for standing with us.
