Please note that the deadline to apply to the Standing Predictability Implementation Review Team (SPIRT) that will provide input on issues that may arise in the New gTLDs Program: Next Round following the adoption of the Applicant Guidebook is 17 October 2025.

 

Scope of Work

In coordination with the GNSO Council, the SPIRT will collaborate with ICANN org to address all non-minor changes during the program using the Predictability Framework. Details of its work are outlined in both the SPIRT Charter and the Predictability Framework.

 

Work Plan

The SPIRT is expected to meet on an as-needed basis with a rotating 60-minute meeting time established once convened. Tentative key dates are as follows:

 

Who Should Join

All interested community members (e.g., Supporting Organizations, Advisory Committees, GNSO's Stakeholder Groups and Constituencies) are invited to volunteer. SPIRT members are expected to act in the best interest of the program and propose constructive solutions to the issues that may arise. Volunteers should consider the membership criteria outlined in the Working Group Member Skills Guide.

At least half of the inaugural members will serve three-year terms. Initial membership must include, at a minimum:
