Noting
the focus of the ISoc community in preventing Internet
fragmentation generally, the potential risk of fragmentation
of the Internet’s name space, the Domain Name System (DNS),
will be of interest.
I
was joined on Monday by Georgia Osborn and Nathan Alan of
the DNS Research Federation. They gave a presentation on
blockchain-based name services and whether they posed a
threat to the DNS, after which we had a very useful Q&A
