Dear colleagues, traditionally our calls have rotated between 13:00 and 19:00 UTC. With the new geographic location of ALAC members and with the European and North American winter time zones, several people have expressed a desire to shift the 13:00 UTC call one hour back to 14:00 UTC, which will make the time less painful for people living on the West Coast of the American continent. I mentioned this on our last CPWG call and have not received any objection or reason why we should not accommodate this change, so it is the co-chair's intent to make next week's call at 14:00 UTC. Kindest regards, Hadia and Olivier

Probably no feedback because anyone inconvenienced by that time slot was not there anyway... I always **object** strongly to shifting time around for various of the sub regional and country or sub coutry seasonal changes. Meetings need to be in UTC that is it manage your own local times yourselves... That said if you want to sey a NEW UTC. time slot gor the rest of this year and then ALL of 2024 until some future review point fine... Just don't play with times seasonally that only exacerbates disadvantage and barriers to some... AND causes confusion... I'm fine with the meetings being at 7am, instead of 6am, when the clock changes back! Hi Jonathan Just to underline Cheryl’s point, Jonathan, would you also be comfortable with the time going back from 0600 to 0500 - as will happen here. Meeting times will always be less than optimal for somewhere but the aim should be to both be predictable and cause the least pain so that everyone can manage Thanks Holly Please keep meeting times in UTC

I think you misunderstood me. My point was that we would NOT change back at the end of daylight savings, but keep the same time, UTC Get Outlook for Android<https://aka.ms/AAb9ysg> ________________________________ From: Holly Raiche <h.raiche@internode.on.net> Sent: Wednesday, November 15, 2023 2:53:43 PM To: Jonathan Zuck <JZuck@innovatorsnetwork.org> Cc: Cheryl Langdon-Orr <langdonorr@gmail.com>; Olivier Crepin-Leblond <ocl@gih.com>; CPWG <cpwg@icann.org> Subject: Re: [CPWG] Call rotation time Hi Jonathan Just to underline Cheryl’s point, Jonathan, would you also be comfortable with the time going back from 0600 to 0500 - as will happen here. Dear friends, I think that changing schedules is not a good idea, we should not only look at what is happening in the continents north of Ecuador, but also in the South, I think that North America and Europe are not the navel of the World, I suggest that we leave the schedules as they are.
