Dear all,
Included final version:
From Martin’s email:
I agree with Philippe’s comment on p.5 that the paragraph should end “… consider what they expect from their appointee, both in terms of being active on the CSC and reporting.”
However, I do have a problem in the first part of that sentence. There might be reasons to request a liaison be recalled, but I’m not really happy that this is a case in point. I suggest three possible formulations in a comment on p.5, the simplest of which is to change should to could. But given that this does not make a formal recommendation, that whole sentence could be deleted without loss of authority for the chair of the CSC.
BB Comment
Still for decision : Donna’s comment with respect to final sentence of the paragraph: In addition the RT recommends that appointing organisations consider what they expect from their appointee, both in terms of being active on the CSC and reporting, and use the means provided in the charter to ensure all relevant interests are served.
In the text this is changed to: In addition the RT recommends that appointing organisations consider what they expect from their appointee, both in terms of being active on the CSC and reporting, and use the means provided in the charter to ensure their expectations will be met.
If you agree with these changes to report, we will post it on RT wiki space and include link in the announcement
Kind regards,
Bart

Ooops, sorry, I had not realised that you were all waiting for me.
I have read the final doc and (with one exception) agree that it is ready to go. I have used Philippe’s text and formatted the table to make it look like a single table, not two that have “happened to come together.”
Hope this helps

Not sure if Bart is still online at this stage, but if he is, I would certainly welcome his guidance. If we can submit the publication request today, I think realistically it may still not get processed until tomorrow.
Best,
Steve

Donna, All,
Thanks for this. This looks very good to me.
My comments are the following:
In addition the RT recommends that appointing organisations consider what they expect from their appointee, both in terms of being active on the CSC and reporting, and use the means provided in the charter to ensure all relevant interests are served[PhF1] .
Attached as marked up “against” Donna’s clean version.

All
Sorry for the delay—these things always take longer than you hope.
I felt that the report was overly long, so I’m suggesting that we delete a lot of the background stuff related to the CSC Charter Review. We note that this was a reference document for our work and that it formed a baseline, so I don’t think we need to go too much into chapter and verse on that, but I appreciate that others may have different opinions.
I’ve added one more recommendation: that an induction program be developed for new members and liaisons.
Clean and redline versions attached.
Thanks
Donna

Phillipe, All
The nine meetings requirement can be found in the charter (https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/csc-charter-amended-27jun18-en.pdf) , in the section terms:
CSC appointees must attend a minimum of nine meetings in a one – year period, and must not be absent for more than two consecutive meetings. Failure to meet this requirement may result in the Chair of the CSC requesting a replacement from the respective organisation.

Dear Philippe, All,
Per the IPR agreements, “IANA” cannot be used on a stand-alone basis. Accordingly, I’ve made a small edit to the first row of the matrix to fix this issue.
Best,
Trang

Dear RT,
Hope you’re all well. Attached, a few editorial changes that may be worthwhile making on the matrix. Regarding attendance, I couldn’t track down where the “minimum of nine meetings” came from for reference.
The Conclusions and recommendations section of the draft report looks good to me.
Best Wishes for the New Year.
