I think i had some +1 on some of your views, was that because its you as well or also because its childish? You can't imagine how much i have learnt from you Milton, but that does not mean i won't disagree with you whenever i feel convinced to do so.
 

This is the view of the ICG and was discussed extensively on our open, archived list. Check it out. And if you don’t go on vacation in August there is no problem, is there?


Thank you for answering the question about whether its ICG rationale or yours. Just to further clarify on my point, even though i was saying it jokingly(ref the smiley i added). My point was that certain part of the world going on holiday should have no effect on how ICG operates and makes decision. 

The CCWG just had a successful meeting (IMO) in Paris during the festive period of Ed which is even a more global event.

Again i said it with "pun intended" and not mainly as an issue

Actually i find it strange that the ICG is stating this as rationale for setting the PC dates. I want to assume that this is just Milton saying what he thinks and not necessarily the official view of ICG.

If its indeed of ICG then @Milton please tell ICG that the IANA process is being carried out by the global community and some of us from other part of the world go on vacation as well and they are not in August. :-)

However, there is no way to meet the schedule we are targeting, and in particular no way to be ready for the Dublin meeting, unless the comment period happens at that time. So people whose work/holiday schedule might be impacted are now forewarned; there could be many ways to handle this if there is time to prepare for it.
