trying to understand this weekend
Hi, It has become apparent that there is a core group meeting at ICANN face to face on this intense work meeting. They have perhaps even had closed meetings already. Seems a bit strange, and is a bit worrisome. Did we discuss this approach to the meeting? If so, I missed the even the notification of this happening. Also, given that we have a component of folks who have traveled for a face 2 face, have they established a detailed agenda yet for the rest of us? For the sake for transparency are their conversations being recorded, transcribed and published? I know when the schedule gets tight there is an urge to get a couple of 'reliable & reasonable' people together to huddle together to find a solution, but I worry that this will not help the rest of us reach consensus. thanks avri
Hi Avri, Thanks. It is certainly not the case to get a huddle of decision makers together but there is significant planning and organisation work going on in the background. We did discuss the structure and organisation of the weekend meetings on one or two occasions recently including in response to a question from Steve Crocker at the most recent meeting. In any event, we will be clear on the purpose and organisation of the weekend sessions at the start of the first meeting today. Sorry Avri a bit confused here, is there a face to face component of this work weekend? I didn’t see anything to that effect published on the list? Hi, I guess it is just the leadership meeting face 2 face. avri On 10-Jan-15 09:59, James Gannon wrote:
