Hi,

I was surprised to see in the presentation that was circulated that apparently some work is under way, specifically on the formation of small language groups and there was even some deliberation on confusingly similar characters. It would be good if the author(s) shared their work with the group as nothing was happening on the list and I am not aware of any group calls apart from the very first one last year.

Similarly, I am not aware of any subgroups being formed or any calls to form such groups being issued here on the mailing list.

It is obviously good that there is initiative coming from some of the group members, but unless this work can be signed off by the entire group this can't be presented as the product of the Cyrillic generation panel.

Looking forward to seeing some activity in the group and on the list.

Best regards,
Vladimir Shadrunov

Dear all,

Dusan, thank you very much for this reminder.
Really, we did big lot of work within frames of Panel.
Unfortunately, circumstance don't always add up to ensure
uninterrupted work cycle, as I understand - we all have lot job in our
professional life and duties.
And first of all, it concern me as Chair.
I want note that our Panel presented the report on profile workshop in Singapore
http://singapore52.icann.org/en/schedule/wed-lgr/presentation-idn-root-zone-lgr-workshop-11feb15-en.pdf

I have a huge request to all members of the Cyrillic GP - to intensify our work.
And now we have 2 tasks:
1) to complete the work to build the Tables of confusion variants in
small working groups of "Central Asia" and "Mongolia"
2) to develop, collect and submit public comments on MSR-2
Yes, we have timeline - 16 Mar, but I sure we shall overcome.

Please, find doodle invitation in your email.

Best Regards,
Yuri
