In case people can't open .eml attachments I'm forwarding my email to the list as clear text. Basically, I proposed during the call today that with regards to character repertoires we need to stick to a process whereby at least two people are involved in compiling the character table for each of the languages. Another comment was that we need to list the sources used for each character table. It appeared that I am not aware who authored the character tables that were initially used as table 3, so I thought it would be good to first, make that information public, second, list the sources for the data and third, for somebody to review that the character tables correspond to the set of characters actually used in each of the languages. I agree with Yuriy these tables are very important as the foundation of our work and we should exercise due care and process in putting them together. Therefore whoever has participated in generating the character tables for Table 3 (Mirjana? Dusan? Gombo?) please kindly share your sources with the list. Personally I can be held responsible for reviewing the Russian character table only as it's the only Cyrillic language that I speak. I suggest that we fill in the spreadsheet attached which includes the name of the author, the name of the reviewer and source of information. We then post this spreadsheet to the list for the record. Once this is done we will at least be able to judge if the process to generate those tables was robust. Sorry Yuriy, I wasn't able to capture all the names that you mentioned on the call - so if you can just fill them in - that would be quickest I believe. Thanks, Vladimir
