Following our call earlier this week, staff has gone ahead and created a google doc to facilitate the DT’s work on the charter (see https://docs.google.com/document/d/1h4ODMNZib_3Vx5FkSMnchgv4gBGUb8s5cmK8UFQ0s38/edit?usp=sharing). It should be set up in such a way that any comments / edits you make are tracked as suggestions. Do note that it is possible to log in without a google account, but in that case your comments will come up as anonymous so in that case you may want to add your initials to any suggestions you make. We’ve also added a column for comments / questions that you may have in relation to the different sections so that these can be reviewed and discussed by the drafting team. As we are Google doc novices, please let us know if any of the settings should be updated.

As discussed before, you are also encouraged to review the Draft Uniform Framework for a Cross Community Working Group (CCWG) Life Cycle: Principles and Recommendations as it may provide further guidance on the charter drafting effort.

The next meeting of the drafting team is scheduled to take place in Marrakech on Thursday 10 March from 7.30 – 9.30 local time (see https://meetings.icann.org/en/marrakech55/schedule/thu-new-gtld-auction-proceeds). In the meantime, staff will work with the DT leadership team to identify a possible meeting schedule going forward factoring in the different time zones.
