Dear Empowered Community Administration representatives,

As a reminder, with the delivery of the Secretary’s Notices on 08 May, four 21-day Rejection Action Petition Periods are currently active for the (1) Standard Bylaws Amendment, (2) IANA FY27 Operating Plan and Budget, (3) ICANN FY27 Operating Plan and Budget, and (4) ICANN FY27-31 Operating and Financial Plan. These Rejection Action Petition Periods will end at 23:59 PDT, 31 May 2026 (06:59 UTC, 1 June 2026).

Under the ICANN Bylaws, during the Rejection Action Petition Periods, individuals may submit a petition to reject the Board action(s) to their Decisional Participant (subject to the procedures and requirements developed by the Decisional Participant). A Decisional Participant that has received a Rejection Action Petition shall either accept or reject such Rejection Action Petition. If a Decisional Participant accepts a Rejection Action Petition, the Decisional Participant shall promptly provide written notice of the acceptance (a "Rejection Action Petition Notice”) to the EC Administration, the other Decisional Participants, and the ICANN Secretary during the Rejection Action Petition Period.

Under the ICANN Bylaws, delivery of the Secretary’s Notices on 08 May: (1) requires Decisional Participants to “promptly inform their constituents” of the delivery of such notices; and (2) triggers four 21-day Rejection Action Petition Periods, during which an individual may submit a petition to any Decisional Participant, seeking to reject the Board action(s).

These 21-day Rejection Action Petition Periods for the (1) Standard Bylaws Amendment, (2) IANA FY27 Operating Plan and Budget, (3) ICANN FY27 Operating Plan and Budget, and (4) ICANN FY27-31 Operating and Financial Plan commence today 11 May 2026 and will end at 23:59 PDT on 31 May 2026, or 06:59 UTC on 1 June 2026.
