Staff would like to kindly remind that according to ICANN Bylaws, section 7.8(c), the EC Administration shall promptly provide the Secretary (with a copy to the Decisional Participants) with written notice of the designation of the Board Director.

Similar to previous notifications staff drafted the attached note and is happy to forward the notice on behalf of the EC Administration to speed up the process if you have no objections. Please let us know.

Due to unforeseen circumstances one of our ICANN Board of Director selectees, Ms. Lousewies van der Laan, has informed the 2018 Nominating Committee that she will be unable to fulfill her duties of appointment. In light of this notification, the 2018 Nominating Committee announced [icann.org] today 16 September 2018 that it has now appointed Danko Jevtovic (Europe) to serve in her place. 

As per ICANN Bylaws, Article 7 Board of Directors, Section 7.8 (a)(i) it is my pleasure to inform you of the 2018 Nominating Committee selected nominee for the ICANN Director position, Seat 2.
