Hi Philippe, thank you! Our thinking was to reference the fuller breadth of the Bylaws Article, to include term duration and limits etc., as well as to allow for the same standard letter to be used (as much as possible) for all the Director designations (whether appointed by the NomCom or a SO or AC.) We can definitely make it more specific if you wish!

Please see attached for a draft note that we have taken the liberty of attaching your names (as the Empowered Community Administration) to, which we can transmit to the ICANN Secretary on your behalf. We have dated the note as 4 June (tomorrow) to allow time for any comments or concerns, and we are of course happy to change the date as necessary. As Ozan has noted, the Bylaws do not have a specific timeline for such designations; however, the requirement is that this be done “promptly”.

 

We will follow up with a separate note to this list about staff support for you as the Empowered Community Administration and the SOAC Chairs as a collective body. Thank you!
