Re: [ECAdmin] [Ext] Re: Question for EC Admin representatives
Hello Stephen and everyone, Thank you for the prompt response, Stephen – we will convey the request to our colleagues working on the notices. Regarding the requested Community Action Forum, as you may recall our Meetings Team had marked this as a tentative session for Monday 4 November. We’ve notified them that, since the Board has now approved the Fundamental Bylaw Amendment, they will need to confirm the actual slot and inform the community as soon as is feasible. I understand that they will be following up accordingly and very soon. I hope this is helpful. Thanks and cheers Mary From: Stephen Deerhake <stephen@deerhake.as> Date: Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 10:10 To: Mary Wong <mary.wong@icann.org>, "ecadmin@icann.org" <ecadmin@icann.org> Subject: [Ext] Re: [ECAdmin] Question for EC Admin representatives Greetings Mary, In the interest of minimizing confusion, could you make them separate notices please? I am not expecting any effort from the Community to block either the RSSAC or SSAC related standard bylaw amendment. Just after the meeting in Marrakesh I requested a one hour time slot for an Approval Action Community Public Forum regarding the fundamental bylaw change, in anticipation of the Board approving the ccNSO’s request for the change which the Board approved at their recent LA retreat. Is there a date and time established for this? If you are not the correct person to ask, can you direct me to the proper person? Thank you. Best Regards, Stephen Deerhake ccNSO Representative to the Empowered Community Administration From: ECAdmin <ecadmin-bounces@icann.org> on behalf of Mary Wong <mary.wong@icann.org> Date: Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 10:20 To: "ecadmin@icann.org" <ecadmin@icann.org> Subject: [ECAdmin] Question for EC Admin representatives Dear Empowered Community Administation, You may know that the ICANN Board has just approved Standard Bylaw Amendments relating to the RSSAC and the SSAC, and a Fundamental Bylaw Amendment concerning the composition of the IANA Naming Function Review (IFR) Team: https://www.icann.org/resources/board-material/resolutions-2019-09-08-en [icann.org]<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.icann.org_resources...>. The Empowered Community Administration will therefore shortly receive the requisite Rejection Action Notice (in respect of the Standard Bylaw Amendments) and Approval Action Notice (for the Fundamental Bylaw Amendment) from the ICANN Secretary. As there were two Standard Bylaw Amendments (though both concerned amendments to Article 12, Section 12 of the Bylaws), staff would like to ask the Empowered Community Administration if you have any concerns over both actions being covered by a single Notice, which will take the usual form of correspondence to you from the ICANN Secretary. If you prefer that each be covered by a separate letter, we will greatly appreciate it if you can let us know as soon as possible, so that the notice(s) can be prepared accordingly. Thank you!
