Dear Jean-Jacques,

I am sorry to hear about your woes with Webex. I was quite surprised that we did not hear from you for the complete call, especially as the voice test had worked earlier.
May I suggest you ask for a dial out next time? Running ICANN calls, I have made it a point to get a dial out each time as I do not trust the reliability of VoIP systems for critical meetings, be they Adobe Connect, Webex, or Zoom. The good old telephone service still works with *6 and *7 mute/unmute.

When only having access by phone, I'd unmute and say my name and that alerts the moderator of my wish to speak. That is much better than a voice just asking "may I speak" as sometimes the moderator cannot recognise the voice.
I hope this helps

Olivier

Dear Staff, dear Oliver,

while still listening to the 17 April meeting as it unfolds, I’ve lost the possibility of making myself heard, and have no access to any interactive tools (show of hands, etc).

I understand the concern expressed by the CEO of ICANN about security concerns regarding Adobe Connect. But I must say that, on the basis of the information provided for today’s meeting, I’ve been limited to listen-only mode. On one point at least I would have liked to chip in, but had no technical tool to do so.

May I suggest that a comprehensive method be found to enable participants to engage fully in EURALO meetings? Thank you.

Best regards,
Jean-Jacques.
