I would like to strongly second Roberto’s nomination, and just as he has done and for the same reasons, nominate myself for the Euralo Board.

Roberto has done sterling work in bringing together and building up the individual user’s org inside Euralo and would make a fine addition to our board.

On the second point, I will also be happy to step aside if other qualified candidates are interested. Over the weekend, Olivier and I worked to bring someone from Eastern Europe into the process but given the tight deadline, it may be difficult for this candidacy to materialize. Nonetheless, we should all continue to outreach to our younger members to get new blood into our leadership positions.

So here’s hoping a experience ICANN community member like myself doesn’t end up having to run, and we get some younger members interested in doing so for this election cycle.

Folks,
I am extremely worried by this lack of interest in getting a deeper involvement in the Leadership Team.
Personally, I am already overcommitted for other activities, inside and outside the ICANN ecosystem, and moreover I belong to the already overrepresented Western Europe.
However, facing now the risk of not having a sufficient number of candidates, I have decided to put my name in the hat, with the understanding that the time I will be able to dedicate to the EURALO Board will be limited.
If at least two candidates will show up, I will withdraw my candidature. Also, if during the two-year term new people, maybe some of the young new faces that have recently joined our community, decide that they will be ready to step up to a leadership position, I will happily resign and free up my slot.
