Dear EURALO Community Members,

As we approach the election period, I am announcing my candidacy for the EURALO Board 2025-2027. With six years of hands-on experience in Internet governance and policy development, I am eager to contribute towards strengthening EURALO’s role in ICANN’s multistakeholder ecosystem with focus on digital equity and policy engagement.

My journey in Internet governance began with formative experiences as an Internet Society Youth IGF Fellow in 2019, and participant at the ICANN's School of Internet Governance, Digital Policies and Innovation, Bucharest (2021). Since ICANN78 in Hamburg, I’ve been an active contributor to EURALO. I have supported the ICANN booths during ICANN78, ICANN 81 and other IGF meetings, engaging with newcomers and raising awareness of At-Large work. I have also assisted the EURALO Secretariat in the past in preparing the post-ICANN readout reports, contributing to knowledge-sharing and outreach.

Beyond that, I’ve engaged in ICANN policy spaces (ALAC, NCUC, NCSG) and contributed effectively to working groups and comments,  ALAC Community Engagement Subcommittee’s anti-phishing course, and recently served as an ICANN82 Fellow. My background also includes Youth IGF and Internet Governance fellowships from prestigious think tanks like Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG), Germany and digital policy research focused on sustainability and digital economics.

If elected to the EURALO Board, I will:

·         Enhance EURALO’s visibility and outreach through active communication including leading the work on the EURALO website/WIKI/Facebook page

·         Support policy contributions on various issues like DNS abuse, new gTLDs, and end-user rights;

·         Outreach with communities outside ICANN (Act as a liaison to different bodies within ICANN in the interest of EURALO Board)

·         Improve transparency through regular, simple updates (e.g. monthly summaries).

I’m committed to inclusive, collaborative leadership and strengthening EURALO’s impact across the region. Together, we can build a more equitable, inclusive, and resilient Internet.

Dear EURALO members,  

 

The current EURALO Board term ends at the end of the ICANN84 AGM 2025. EURALO's Chair and Secretariat would like to announce a call for nominations to fill Board positions for the next 2 years (AGM 2025 – end of AGM 2027). This call is made in accordance with the EURALO Articles of Association [icann-community.atlassian.net], the EURALO Rules of Procedures [icann-community.atlassian.net] (ROP) and Selection and performance criteria for EURALO Board members 2015 [icann-community.atlassian.net].

  

In addition, there is a need for Board members as a whole, to share responsibilities with the EURALO Chair and Secretariat in assuming the following topics:

 

  1. Legal issues
  2. Policy Development
  3. Communication including leading the work on the EURALO website/WIKI/Facebook page.
  4. Outreach with communities outside ICANN
     

Please note the rules and agreements applicable to this election (see document attached). In accordance with these agreements, kindly note:

 

  1. The size of the EURALO Board will be 2-5 members, plus ex-officio, the EURALO Chair and EURALO Secretary;
  2. There should be a maximum limit of 1 Board member per country;
  3. As is the usual custom in votes involving people, votes will take place by secret ballot;
  4. The Board will be selected for a two-years-term;  non performing Board members can be recalled after one year to allow to be replaced by better candidates.

 

The EURALO Board should be balanced but EURALO has not reached a consensus on having direct absolute criteria for geographical (East/Western Europe) or gender criteria. As geographical and gender balance are important in our region, we ask you to consider these issues when making your selection.

 

Please submit your nominations and self-nominations from Friday 30 May 2025 to Friday 06 June 2025 at 23:59 UTC by sending an email to the EURALO mailing list and copying At-Large staff staff@atlarge.icann.org. All candidates who accept their nominations by the deadline above must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).

 

Should we have more than 5 members self nominating/nominated, the online vote will start on Saturday 07 June 2025 until Saturday 14 June 2023 at 23:59 UTC.
