everyone can nominate themselves, as well as be nominated by someone, there are no barriers to any of the three positions - Chair, Secretary, ALAC member. Other names, rotation, and updates are always a good idea for the community. Transparency and democracy. It is the only one possible way to exist as a community and have trust, fully support it.

Many thanks to those who have given their time and energy for EURALO. ICANN tries some special form of global democracy and change of positions is a major part of it. As Natalia has rightly mentioned - EURALO relies not only on those with official functions but in the same way on people behind the leading figures, providing important supportive work and consultancy (Oliver Crépin-Lebond is the best example, with SEB not far behind).
Thus, let's look for other names this time.

I would like to nominate Natalia Filina for another term as EURALO Secretariat.

In her current terms, she has proven herself to be a reliable Secretariat, also publishing Newsletters which are the envy of other RALOs!
Communication is the key to an active community and she has really helped with getting EURALO back on track.

I should also add that Natalia has also gained good experience to Chair calls, so she is well qualified to step in as needed, when our Chair is unavailable.

Positions Open:

Selection Schedule for ALAC Members, RALO Leadership, and ALAC Delegates to the NomCom:


1.      14 April 2025 - Announcement of call for nominations and Nominee's Statement.* (Except for NARALO that requires a call for nominations of 30 days before the start of elections on 9 May - NARALO’s call for nominations begins on 9 April 2025)
2.      14 April - 25 April 2025 - Nomination period (nominations accepted for 10 working days).
3.      2 May 2025 - Deadline for nomination acceptances. Candidate statements should be submitted no later than 5 May 2025.
4.      5 May 2025 - 8 May 2025- Calls with the candidates if desired by the RALOs.
5.      9 May 2025 - 16 May 2025 - Elections (If required, elections will begin no later than one week after the deadline for nomination acceptances and end no later than two weeks after that deadline).
6.      2025 AGM [ ICANN84] - Newly elected ALAC Members and RALOs Leaders shall be seated at the end of the 2025 AGM following the close of the Board Meeting on 30 October 2025.



Process for Nominations:



Nominations including self-nominations, must be made directly to the relevant RALO mailing list and by sending a note to At-Large Staff<http://staff@atlarge.icann.org>.



All nominees are expected to submit a brief statement explaining why they believe they are a suitable candidate to At-Large Staff<http://staff@atlarge.icann.org>.  All nominees must also complete or update their Statement of Interest (see: At-Large New SOIs Workspace<https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/atlarge/pages/99546548/At-Large+New+SOIs+Workspace>).



IMPORTANT: Criteria for NomCom Delegates



Please note: RALOs may recommend one or more candidates to the ALAC. The appointment of NomCom delegates is carried out by the ALAC. Therefore, RALO recommendations are not binding
