Voting Phase

Phase III provides an online mechanism for all WSIS stakeholders to participate in the contest of WSIS Prizes. The list of nominated projects is available here. The WSIS multi-stakeholder community is invited to participate and cast its vote for one project in each of 18 categories.

The deadline for completing votes is 3 May 2026 (23:00 Geneva time). The first five most voted projects will be selected based on the appreciation/voting for project descriptions by WSIS stakeholders representing WSIS online network. The rules for voting should be strictly respected.

Rules and Guidelines

  1. Public online voting identifies the five projects per category with the highest number of valid stakeholder appreciations. Voting results are considered as one input into the overall evaluation process.
  2. Only registered members of the WSIS Stocktaking Platform with complete information (organization name, type, country, and user details) may vote.
  3. Each registered stakeholder may vote for one project per category. All votes are weighted equally.
  4. Voting is encouraged in all categories but not mandatory.
  5. Focal points of submitted projects will be notified of voting progress at the end of each week.
  6. WSIS Stocktaking reserves the right to review and validate voting results to ensure fairness and compliance with the Rules and Guidelines.
  7. WSIS Stocktaking may use the organization details submitted by stakeholders for purposes related to the WSIS Prizes process.
