Dear EURALO Members,

 

On behalf of the EURALO Chair, Frederic Taes and Secretariat, Natalia Filina, and in accordance with EURALO’s ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION, this is the first announcement of the EURALO Hybrid General Assembly 2026 to be held on Tuesday, 09 June 2026 between 14:30-16:00 UTC (16:30-18:00 CEST) during ICANN86 Policy Forum in Seville, Spain.

 

The agenda has been posted on the EURALO Hybrid General Assembly 2026 wiki page. Please be so kind as to review the agenda and be prepared to participate!

 

ATTENDANCE:

NOTE – IF an apology and appointing a Proxy, please note Proxy on the Google form AND complete the attached proxy form (as per the EURALO Articles of Association – see hereafter).

 

At this stage you have THREE options for participation at this General Assembly:

 

  1. In person (no travel funding for this event)
  2. Remote – zoom room will be posted 24h prior to the session
  3. Send an apology, in which case you may nominate a PROXY (document attached) to represent you. A proxy will need to confirm participation in the General Assembly either in person or remote.


Please note that in order to achieve quorum at the General Assembly, it is important for you to take action on one of the three options above!

 

In order to nominate a proxy, please send your proxy document by email with the subject line PROXY EURALO Hybrid GA 2026 to EURALO’s Chair at icann@tsf.be, Secretariat at filinafilka@gmail.com and At-Large staff at staff@atlarge.icann.org, appointing the proxy.

 

Kindly note that according to the EURALO Articles of Association, Proxies may only validly be appointed by a notice in writing (a “proxy notice”) which:

 

  1. states the name and address of the Member appointing the proxy;
  2. identifies the person appointed to be that Member’s proxy and the General Assembly in relation to which that person is appointed;
  3. is signed by or on behalf of the Member appointing the proxy, or is authenticated in such manner as the Board may determine; and is delivered to the General Assembly in accordance with the articles and any instructions contained in the notice of the General Assembly to which they relate.

 

As per practice in past General Assemblies, there will be a maximum of two proxies possible per member participating in the GA and staff will inform you if a nominated proxy has exceeded their vote allocation and suggest alternatives.

  

Remote Participation information: the zoom link will be posted 24h ahead of the session.

 

Important – for in person and remote participants, please register for ICANN86! (In-person attendance registration remains open until 7 June. On-site registration will not be available.)
