Dear all,

following up on today's EURALO monthly call, the majority of participants on the call suggested that we do not interrupt the vote and change rules regarding the restriction on the number of votes for candidates from a single country. Thus the vote will continue and end on Friday 15th December 2017.

I am told by At-Large staff that 9 ALSes have already voted. As the vote is anonymous, neither staff nor I can find out whom they have voted for. Thus if you have already cast the vote of your ALS and would like to change your vote (possibly because it involved a vote for the candidate who has withdrawn), please email staff@atlarge.icann.org for them to reset your vote.

Finally, if you do not know whom to vote for - the EURALO call on https://community.icann.org/x/JBVyB contains a good 15-20 minutes of excellent statements made by each candidate. Click in the recording (which should be updated shortly), and jump directly to around 40 minutes into the call - and you'll have each candidate speak about what they'd like to do if selected to be on the EURALO Board.

Kindest regards,

Olivier

Hi Everyone,

I wish to withdraw my application for the EURALO Board.

As stated when I ran, I did so because there was a dearth of candidates at the time. Since then, several candidates have come forward and there are more than enough from France.

As I also stated I would support getting people who have not been so heavily involved before.

I would therefore like to support my fellow Frenchman Clément Genty. Clément comes to us from the NextGen program and is in my mind exactly the type of person that we should be pushing to try and get more involved in these leadership positions as a relative newcomer to the ICANN process.

Best,

Dear all,

this is to let you know that I have updated the agenda of our monthly call.
Besides the usual Policy discussion which will last around 20 minutes, we have two main discussions to have:

Item 4 - the EURALO Board Appointments
In this section, participants will have the ability to decide on whether the ballots for EURALO Board members should be limited to a candidate from each country, or unlimited, with the country distribution being done at vote count. So far, I have only read responses that the ballots should be unlimited.
The second part of this section provides you with the ability to hear from the candidates themselves. Time is of the essence, thus I do not think we have the ability to have a full question/answer session, but it would be good to hear from each of the candidates, if they are able to attend the call, on what their plans are for the EURALO Board to function better.

Item 5 - the forthcoming IGF in Geneva
We'll go through the latest updates - and ask for your help, if you are planning to attend the IGF in Geneva

If you have any request for additional topics to be discussed please be so kind to give us a heads up on the mailing list ahead of the call.

Looking forward to see you on the call,

Olivier
