Dear EURALO members, 

 

On 5 January 2017, ALAC Member Veronica Cretu representing EURALO notified EURALO Chair Olivier Crépin-Leblond of her resignation due to other activities.

 

EURALO's Chair and Secretariat would like to announce a call for nominations to fill her vacant ALAC seat.  The nomination period will start TODAY January 16 until 27 January 2017 - (nominations accepted for 10 working days).

 

Please note the following:

 

1.        All nominees are expected to submit a brief statement explaining why they believe they are a suitable candidate and must also complete or update their Statement of Interest (see: At-Large New SOIs Workspace).

2.        No one who is currently serving on the Nominating Committee may be nominated for the ALAC. See https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/governance/bylaws-en#VII-8

 

3.        According to EURALO By-Laws, article 11.5.10 Electing the ALAC members representing Europe. The selected representatives must be members of different ALSes, must have their principal residence in different countries of the region and their nationalities must be different. To the extent possible, gender balance and regional balance within Europe shall be fostered.

 

The term of the position will begin on 11 February 2017 and end at the 2018 AGM.
