Fare thee well! and if for ever, still for ever, fare thee well
Dear colleagues. I inform you that I left the "Internet Support Foundation" and return to the operating activities in telecom. Tomorrow I start working as a technical director for operations in a large telecommunication company in Moscow. In this regard, I cease to be a member of the Board and a representative of the Internet Support Foundation in EURALO. For me it was a great honor and a great pleasure to work with all of you. And this is not just empty words. Andrei Kolesnikov remains the representative of Internet Support Foundation. Many of you know him for a long time. I am very sorry that I could not finish the work on updating the Articles of Association of EURALO. I hope this work will be completed successfully without me. The need to update the AoA is obvious. The organization can not be successful if the Bylaw of the organization and its life are not correspond to each other. This is the same as to have law but to live not according to the law. Dear Silvia please be so kind to ask to unsubscribe me from all mailing lists. Thank you and your colleagues for cooperation. You are the best! I wish you all success and good luck. With deep respect. Mikhail Medrish
Dear Mikhail, first of all, let me congratulate you to your new position and your next professional challenge! Let me take the opportunity to thank you dearly for all your inputs and time invested for the Board, and particularly for the creation, inputs and discussions in the TF on our Bylaws revisions -- what unfortunately needs to be accomplished now without your valuable and thoughtful inputs. I am confident that Olivier will push and complete this work in your spirit. In this context, I would like to welcome Andrei Kolesnikov as the new representative of the Internet Support Foundation. We are looking forward to work with Andrei as fruitful as we did with you. Thanks again and kind regards, Wolf Mikhail Medrish wrote Sun, 14 Aug 2016 23:44:

Dear Mikhail, thank you for your kind email. Congratulations on your new position. I wish you all the Best in your future career and hope that your experiences in EURALO and At-Large will be of use to you in the next exciting work that you will undertake. It has been a pleasure working with you on the EURALO Bylaws, but also discussing matters on how to improve the effectiveness of our community, EURALO, At-Large, the ALAC and ICANN. We are going to miss a very active member! You have my word that we will complete the EURALO bylaws review in your spirit - indeed, I note that initially there might have been some reservations from many people, me included, to address the Bylaws, but you have made excellent convincing arguments and we will conclude the work -- and we will conclude it *correctly*, not just a box-ticking exercise. So thanks again for being strong in pointing out what needed to be fixed. Welcome to Andrei who will take your position as ALS representative for the "Internet Support Foundation". I trust that At-Large Staff will make all the necessary amendments to subscriptions, WIKI pages and working groups. May I take this opportunity to invite Andrei to join the two EURALO task forces: (a) Review of the EURALO bylaws and (b) EURALO ALS engagement Andrei could also think of joining some working groups, as listed on https://community.icann.org/x/loIi Warmest regards, Olivier On 14/08/2016 22:44, Mikhail Medrish wrote:

Dear EURALO Board and members, As for the EURALO Board position, we will soon launch a process to fill the vacant seat. Wolf & I will speak to At-Large Staff on how this procedure is to be initiated. Essentially, we could have another election, or we could make use of the results for the previous election and fill the seat with the next person in line. If anyone has any preference about this, please voice them. Many thanks, Olivier On 15/08/2016 18:44, Olivier MJ Crepin-Leblond wrote:

I have checked the vote's results: http://atlarge-lists.icann.org/pipermail/euro-discuss/2015-December/004174.h... and the consensus which had been achieved on the rules for the make-up of the EURALO Board on http://atlarge-lists.icann.org/pipermail/euro-discuss/2015-November/004161.h... Since the remaining candidates are based in countries that are already represented on the EURALO Board, we will need to launch a new selection process to fill the vacant seat. Kindest regards, Olivier
